Victoria Baths Manchester was designed as a prestigious baths complex by architect Henry Price and opened in 1906.In the design and construction no expense was spared. For 86 years the baths provided essential leisure facilities. In 1952 the baths installed the first aerotone jacuzzi system in the country. 1993 the baths close its doors, recently with help of a lottery grant and work of a group called Friends of Victoria Baths the doors are once again open to the public to view this grade 2 listed building as restoration work goes on to bring the baths to something like its former glory. |
